Went up to Topanga Canyon for a hike in the morning. We read about the Eagle Rock hike and picked it-it's about 6 miles roundtrip with somewhat of a loop so you're not completely retracing your steps the whole time, which is nice. we started out at 7:30, after finding free parking ont eh street ($10 to park in the state park lot), and started hiking. the beginning of hte trail is uphill, but it's nice cuz you're gonna end going down. while heading up we saw a few deer, and then started chatting with an older guy named Bob. He told us his usual hiking partner is out of town, so he went ahead and came along with us for the remaining 5 miles or so, ha. he told us his life story, and a few other's life stories, and then he told us alot about the trail bc he walks this one about 3-4 times a week, so yea, he kept us company, and vice versa.
