Coral underwater caves
Snorkel pros.
Hanalei Bay was by far our favorite beach of all. It is a perfect sandy beach with turquoise waters with an insane lush green backdrop. We swam, floated, swam, floated, laid out, swam, floated, swam, and laid out some more. PERFECT. It wasn't very crowded which added to its appeal. We walked down to the pier, took lots of photos, and jumped off. I did a little better with my jumping this time, though there's room for improvement. At least no more bruises. On our walk back to our towels I reminded Matt that he hadn't had a coconut yet which happened to be perfect timing because Jessica spotted a tree that would be easy to climb. With Jessica's coaching, Matt climbed about 10-15 ft and snagged four coconuts! He was so pumped! After drinking two of the coconuts we left Hanalei in search of Ho'opi'i Falls with no success. For dinner we went to back to Kapaa and ate at the Mermaid Café, which was pretty good with a lot of vegetarian options. The best thing there, by far was the Thai Iced Tea which consisted of black tea and coconut milk. Simple perfection! After dropping Jessica off we head to Anahola for the night. Anahola turned out to be another party spot for locals, but it was cheap.

This was our last day to hang out with Jessica because she was heading back to the big island the next morning. We were so excited that we got to meet up with her and she taught us so much about coconuts and general knowledge about Hawaii. Thanks Jess!
